Christmas....

Yup.. I know.. Christmas is still faaaaaar away... buuut.. I've started creating some Christmas cards for CreativeXpress this week!! So much fun.. somehow I just can't wait until Christmas is here...I sooo love the cozyness during that time of year! These are also my final assignments for CreativeXpress.. just can't believe that my year term is already over.. time went by so fast!

For this assignment I had to create a card set by using the Cuttlebug and some new dies.. I decided to work with the Treetops Combo and the Snow Dots embossing folder.

Here's the first card, on this one I've 'decorated' the trees with some jewels and ribbon. The embossing details are sanded with some sandpaper to make them 'pop' a little more.

And some details....

For the 2nd card I've embossed the trees and the embossed parts are covered with Doodlebug Sugarcoated glitter.. so much fun!!!

And some details...

Tomorrow Peggy is coming over to my place to do some scrapbooking together (uhm.. I mean talking.. whaha)!!! I'm so excited since it has been so long since we met up.. See you tomorrow girlie!!!

It's going to be a beautiful day here in the Netherlands today.. soooo if you're looking for me you might find me sitting in our back yard with a pile gossip and scrapbook magazines....

Have a great weekend!!!!

A little layout...

Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments about my little niece. Happily she's doing a little better right now.. she came home from the hospital yesterday.. unfortunately they were not able to find out where this high fever is coming from but happily the convulsions are gone for now and my sister is having medications present to give to her in case she gets one. She's at home and that's the most important thing right now.... I've been so worried about her!

Soooo in honor of this little girlie I've created this layout about her... I took these pictures about a month ago while visiting her. She's such a happy baby! And since Scrapbook Trends has requested my other Heidi Swapp layout I decided to work with these yummie papers for this layout as well.

And.. I've been tagged by Eli and by my sweet friend Sherry (Dutchies: don't forget to check out next issue of Cards Only in the beginning of September.... Sherry will be our guest designer with her awesome work). Thank you so much girls!!!

Cards at the Castle!

Ooowww.. I've had such a fun weekend!! I've been teaching my first ever workshops on Saturday at Cards at the Castle overhere in The Netherlands!!! I was sooo nervous at first!! There were about 130 girls on the event (split in 5 classes)! So cool meeting many people and make new friends on a day like this!!

I want to give a biiiig shout out to my fellow teachers Paulien (yeah.. we did it girlie!!), Marije, Jeanet, Moon, Lea and Tiets. We all did an amazing job!!! Since I've been so busy teaching I didn't take any pictures at all!!! Such a bummer..

Anyways.. here are the cards that I had prepared for the workshops. We've been working with some yummie American Crafts papers!

Unfortunately we didn't have time to finish both of the cards. I had promissed to put the instructions for the 2nd card here on my blog....but since the document turned out kinda long I won't do that.... if you want me to send it to you (it's in Dutch.. but I can also translate it in English of course).. just send me an email at: pascalnancy@casema.nl. (for the Dutchies: de werkbeschrijving voor deze tweede kaart zou ik op mijn blog plaatsen, deze is alleen erg lang geworden.... mocht je deze toch willen ontvangen.. stuur mij dan even een mailtje)

Things aren't going too well for my little niece Demi at the moment, she's having really high fever and because of that she's having convulsions (is that the right word?) over and over again. They took her to the hospital already yesterday where they gave her some meds for that.. and I just got a phonecall that they took her there again just a few minutes ago. So scary.. I'm so worried about that little girlie.

Gotta run.. thanks for taking the time to visit my blog!

2 Sketches 4 You... and a TOOT!!

Have you ever checked out the 2 Sketches 4 You blog??? If not.. go check it out and play along. Laura, Kazan and their amazing DT are posting really awesome sketches and ideas every week!! I didn't have time to play along before..... but I just couldn't resist this weeks's sketch by Kazan!!!

This is my take on it (I've used Little Yellow Bycicle papers here.. so bright and fun! And I just can't get enough of those cute Melissa Fances rubons):

TOOOT -->> While checking my e-mail this morning I found an e-mail from
Scrapbook Trends Magazine requesting one of my layouts for their January 2009 issue!!!! Just can't believe it!!! WOOHOO!! So excited!! It's a layout about my little niece Demi. My sister is soooo proud! Just can't wait to see it in print!

Talking about Demi.. I took these pictures of her during my birthday party last Saturday.. she's growing so fast! (my dad is her best friend..and she adores our doggies)

And.. I'd like to give a biiiiiig shout out to my sweet friend Revlie who was chosen as one of the Runners-up for Memory Makers Masters!!!! I'm so happy for you girlie!! WOOHOO!!!

Still no sign of summer here.. more rain is coming down right now... sooo.. I'm going back to my scraptable right now.. perfect weather to create!

Enjoy the rest of this Friday and have a good weekend! I'll be teaching tomorrow at
Cards at the Castle in Doorn (The Netherlands)!!

Rain rain rain..

Yup.. that's exactely the kind of weather that we're having overhere for a couple of days now.... Just unbelievable that they call this 'Summer' haha! I've to work the whole week.. but for those that are having vacation in The Netherlands now it's a real pitty!

Didn't had energy to scrap during the last couple of days.. so besides reading scrapbook magazines I didn't do anything scrappy related.. I'm still preparing for my first ever workshop this upcoming Saturday (so nervous.. haha..)

I've created this little card just before leaving to go to France.. I've used some yummie new American Crafts papers here.. so nice to work with.. so bright and fun! The title is created with some jewel-alphabet stickers (found these back in my stash the other day.. haha)

My scraproom is almost finished now.. the only thing we need to do is putting all furniture in it..and then move all my scrappy stuff up there! YAY!!!

Have a fun week and Happy Scrappin'!!

We've had a perfect time in France.. the weather wasn't too good unfortunately but we visited a lot of different places,we picked plums in my grand parents their backyard and rested a looooot! Such a pitty we had to leave them behind again this morning.. it's always so hard to say good bye.... Sooooo.. here's a little impression of the things we did during the last few days.. (if you ever get the chance to visit te city of Nancy or the castle and garden of Luneville for a day or so.... GO FOR IT..it's definitely worth it!)

I didn't do anything scrappy related in France (but I will soon.. I promiss.. haha..).. sooo.. I'm leaving you all today with a little card that I've created for CreativeXpress a little while ago..(you can find the first card of this card set in one of my previous posts). I was challenged to create cards by using some ProvoCraft Masking Tape.. so much fun!!!

And some details...

I'm off to do some laundry (yup.. still my favorite thing.. whahaha.. NOT)...tomorrow I'll be celebrating my birthday again with my family.. so excited!!!! (but I'll have to clean the house first.. something that is really really needed at the moment.. haha).

Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks again for stopping by!!

France and almost 30.........

We'll be leaving tomorrow to visit my grandparents in France...yup.. Nancy is off to Nancy (the city) for a few days! Just can't wait (although I'm definitely NOT looking forward to the trip.. just hate to sit down for so many hours.. haha)

I'll be turning 30 on August 14th during our trip!!! Just unbelievable that after this week I'll leave my 20's behind!!! I feel sooooo old.. haha!!! My grandparents are so excited that I'll be celebrating my birthday in France this year! We'll definitely take them out for dinner somewhere, something they loooove so much!

Soooo.. I'll leave you with 2 little cards and I promiss to be back with more new creations soon!!!

I've just finished this first card.. I had the opportunity to work with My Mind's Eye's newest papers.. sooo yummie!!

And some details....

And this card was pubbed in the previous issue of Cards Only magazine, I've used Dreamstreet papers here and decided just to use up my scraps.. this is what I came up with...

I'll take my laptop with me.. but I'm not sure if we'll have internet access during the upcoming days since my grandparents don't have an internet connection.

Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet sweet comments over and over again!!!I'll be back on Friday!!

Heidi Swapp....

Remember I was talking about a little layout that I was working on last week??? I finally managed to finish it!!! YEAH!! I've had so much fun working with these Heidi Swapp goodies.. I really have to force myself to use other stuff at the moment.. hahahaha.. The colorcombo is just sooooo perfect!!

On the pictures you can see my little niece Demi at 5 months. I decided to order these pictures in B/W and I'm glad I did.... such a perfect combo with these yummie papers!!! (BTW.. everything is straight IRL, and the background is WHITE instead of light blue.. haha)

Only 3 working days to go..and then we'll have an entire week off! Just can't wait!! We've planned to visit my grandparents in France for a few days.. it's been about 6 months since I've seen them.. waaaaay too long!!! Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will be good during that week as we're having so many things we want to do.. hehe.. I'm going to give my grandparents a call tonight to tell them that we're coming over.. I bet they'll be so excited (they just love to have people around them since most of the time they're all alone.. )

I hope you're all enjoying your week until so far!!!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by again!!

A little card..

Yup... I've got another little card to show you.. Nothing really "fresh" unfortunately but a card that was recently published in Cards Only Magazine.

I've been playing with some yummie American Crafts papers here. The flower petals are created by tracing around Colorbox Cat's Eye inkpads. Then I've handcut each petal and formed it into a flower. So much fun!!!

We've been really busy during the last couple of days.. we've enjoyed the beautiful summer weather overhere in The Netherlands (although it looks like it's going to rain right now.. haha)

Totally forgot to mention that the members from Scrappers Anonimous gave me this awesome blog award! I'm so proud! Thank you so much girls for voting for me!!

Besides that Claudia, Tamara, Criss, Kadee and Eli all gave me some more awards!! Thank you so much girls.. so sweet! I'm not going to give these awards away since I really feel like you all deserve this award!!

I'm off to have dinner now, hopefully I'll have some ME-time tomorrow.. hehe (oh..and we're still working on my scraproom.. I hope to be able to show some pictures soon!)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
